Development and Interconnectivity of the Commodities Market
Concept Genesis and Bibliographic Review
Abstract
Hedging tools developed since the 1980s in international financial markets, bulletin, a function of protecting future prices against weather and supply and demand shocks, promoting the embryonic process of commodity markets. However, from the 1990s onwards, virtually all commodities were already listed on futures exchanges. In this context, the objective of this work is to investigate the dynamics of commodity markets and how their evolution goes beyond the definition of connectivity, reaching the level of interconnectivity between the most varied products, markets and economy. With this, it is intended to verify the wide range of theoretical discussion available on the universe of commodities, proposing a comparative bibliographic interpretation of the phenomenon and its impacts.
