Abstract

o presente trabalho teve por objetivo apresentar os principais conceitos tecnológicos relacionados ao funcionamento e operação das criptomoedas, em especial a bitcoin. Buscou-se, ainda, apresentar o conceito de lavagem de dinheiro, as fases do processo de lavagem, a evolução das ações internacionais de combate à lavagem, bem como o crime de lavagem de dinheiro na legislação penal brasileira. Finalmente, procurou-se exemplificar com a apresentação de alguns casos práticos, como as criptomoedas, em especial a bitcoin, são utilizadas para a prática do crime de lavagem de dinheiro.
