Abstract

Artigo destinado a analisar a origem do Senado norte-americano e do seu Comitê do Poder Judiciário, bem como perquirir suas funções e atribuições, além de sua importância para manutenção das instituições no país. Posteriormente, se buscará verificar como é realizado o controle do juízes nos Estados Unidos, e realizar uma comparação com o Brasil, através do exame de sua compatibilidade com o sistema de freios e contrapesos e a máxima da separação dos poderes em ambos os países. Por fim, há de se analisar, também, os impactos da interferência política no exercício deste controle sobre o Poder Judiciário.
