O COMÉRCIO INTERNACIONAL DIGITAL NA INICIATIVA CINTURÃO E ROTA: OPORTUNIDADES DE COOPERAÇÃO ENTRE BRASIL E CHINA
Abstract
The article discusses how digital trade in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) can improve the commercial relationship between Brazil and China, which involves producing, distributing, selling and delivering goods and services electronically. However, outdated regulations create barriers to this type of trade, even though cross-border data flows create opportunities for companies in emerging countries to enter global markets. The article analyzes the changes in the digital trade and their impacts on the Sino-Brazilian relationship, and suggests that the BRI can promote policies that encourage innovation and digital trade. The research concludes that the BRI can help create an environment that encourages innovation and promotes digital trade in goods and services, but it requires policy coordination, barrier-free trade and connectivity, while conflicting regulations must be avoided to ensure cross-border flow of data.
