About the Journal
Revista Direito Público (RDP) is a journal linked to the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Constitutional Law of the Brazilian Institute for Teaching, Development and Research (IDP). Its mission is to disseminate scientific knowledge in the field of law through a transparent editorial process that complies with national and international guidelines on scientific publishing
Its main focus is on topics related to Public Law, but it also covers cross-cutting issues, addressed through thematic dossiers. These may include areas of Private Law, provided there is a solid justification for their connection with the scope of the journal. In relation to Public Law, the journal seeks to promote an interdisciplinary dialog, integrating areas such as Political Science, Sociology, Public Policy, Philosophy, Anthropology, History, Education and Economics, with the aim of enriching academic discussion in the legal field.
The journal also encourages research that adopts innovative empirical methodologies, and the Editorial Committee pays special attention to the process of processing manuscripts, considering the innovative nature of the approaches presented, while respecting the ethical precepts established by Law No. 14,874 of August 29, 2024, which establishes the National System of Ethics in Research with Human Beings.
RDP aims to be a space for constant scientific updating for the academic community, especially for researchers in the areas of law and applied social sciences.
Classified as Qualis A1 by Capes, the journal is published every four months, in March, August and November. The journal maintains a continuous flow of manuscript submissions, accepting articles in Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian.
