Política de Acesso Livre

Revista Direito Público fully adopts the open access policy since 2020, committing to the immediate, free, and unrestricted availability of its content, without embargoes. This guideline is grounded in the principle that free access to scientific production constitutes a fundamental instrument for the expansion and democratization of legal knowledge, both nationally and internationally.

The copyright of the articles published remains with their respective authors, who retain full intellectual ownership of their works. RDP complies with the definition of open access established by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), as follows:

“Open Access is the condition in which the copyright holder of an academic work grants usage rights to others through an open license (Creative Commons or equivalent), permitting immediate and free access to the work and allowing any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, index them, use them as data in software, or utilize them for any other lawful purpose.” (DOAJ, 2022).

As of 2024, articles published in Revista Direito Público are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which allows for broad reuse, provided that proper credit is given to the original authorship. Articles published up to the year 2023 remain under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), which permits non-commercial use with appropriate attribution of authorship.
