The Public Law Journal (RDP) processes personal data in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018), its principles and foundations. Therefore, the personal data provided to this journal will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication, and will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties.
The period of processing of personal data will end upon the user's request, through a free and easy procedure, or when the purpose of the processing is achieved. Furthermore, personal information is deleted when it is no longer necessary or relevant to offer the services of this journal, unless there is any other reason for its maintenance, such as a possible obligation to retain data provided for in specific legislation.
To understand and systematize the data used, it is understood that the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018) establishes the subjects and operations involved in the process, in this case, as it is a scientific journal, the seriousness regarding user data occurs both in the normative sense, as well as in the editorial process itself.
Therefore, the data we collect is closely linked to the activities performed by a scientific journal, so the data requested and used to register the user in our system are: Name, E-mail and data that refer us to the user's academic profile, as well as data for identification in the system, such as username and password.
We explain that we use the data collected to fulfill the following demands:
- To fulfill our obligations to CAPES as a journal of excellence, which has evaluation criteria;
- To manage the data internally to better perform the functions of the Public Law Journal Editorial Committee;
- To perform internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis and research;
- To verify and validate your identity, for registration purposes and compliance with legislation;
- To prevent potentially illegal activities, combat fraud and cybercrime;
- To reinforce the protection and security of the data provided by users;
- Contact users to inform them of news about the Public Law Journal, or any procedure that will be carried out in the system.
In addition, we indicate and inform them of their right to access their data through the journal's own system, or the possibility of changing them by contacting the Public Law Journal Editorial Committee at direitopublico@idp.edu.br.
We inform you that we may update or modify this privacy policy. We recommend that you review it periodically to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal data we collect.
