Abstract

The starting point of the article is the comparison between the clauses on remote work negotiated in the state of Rio de Janeiro in 2020 and 2021. The temporal comparative perspective was guided by three main questions. First, for the search to contribute to the mapping of the legal-normative framework implemented regarding remote work and for reflection on its consequences. In addition, we seek to highlight what the comparison of collective bargaining for remote work in these two years informs both about employer unilateralism, a characteristic feature of labor relations in Brazil in recent years, and about workers’ resistance to a context of neoliberal reforms.
